Day 11: Kubja (Trivakra)

Kubja, also known as Trivakra, was a hunchbacked maidservant in Mathura who prepared sandalwood paste for King Kamsa. One day, as Krishna and Balarama entered Mathura, Kubja saw them walking through the streets. The moment she saw Krishna, her heart overflowed with love and devotion.

Without hesitation, she approached Him and offered the fragrant sandalwood paste, desiring nothing in return. Krishna, touched by her pure offering and sincere heart, gently placed His foot on her toes and raised her chin with His fingers. In an instant, her bent body became straight and beautiful.

Kubja was not only physically transformed but spiritually uplifted. Her love for Krishna was selfless, and He responded with mercy and grace. Though others saw her as deformed, Krishna saw only her devotion.

This simple act of love became her path to liberation, proving that even one sincere offering can attract the Lord's divine favor.
