Day 6: Gajendra (Elephant King)

Gajendra, the elephant king, once went to a lake with his herd to bathe and relax.

Suddenly, a powerful crocodile caught his leg and dragged him into the water.

A fierce struggle began—Gajendra fought with all his might, but the battle lasted for years.

Weakened and hopeless, Gajendra finally lifted his trunk and called out to Lord Vishnu with deep surrender.

He offered a heartfelt prayer, glorifying the Lord as the only savior.

Touched by his sincerity, Lord Vishnu immediately appeared on Garuda, His divine eagle.

With His Sudarshana Chakra, the Lord killed the crocodile and freed Gajendra.

Gajendra was overwhelmed with devotion and offered himself fully to the Lord.

The crocodile was also freed from a curse and attained liberation.

This story shows how even in the lowest moment, sincere surrender attracts the Lord’s mercy.
