day 15: Satyabhama
Satyabhama, one of Krishna’s principal queens, was not only beautiful and strong-willed but also deeply devoted to the Lord. When the demon Narakasura began terrorizing the heavens and earth, even stealing the earrings of Aditi, the mother of the gods, Krishna decided to put an end to his tyranny.
This time, however, He did not go alone. Satyabhama accompanied Him on the battlefield, riding beside Him on Garuda, ready to fight. In the fierce battle that followed, Krishna allowed Satyabhama to take the lead in slaying Narakasura, empowering her to be the instrument of his destruction.
With divine strength and Krishna’s guidance, Satyabhama struck down the demon, fulfilling a divine plan. The earth rejoiced, and the imprisoned princesses were freed and later married to Krishna.
This pastime revealed Satyabhama’s role not just as a queen, but as an empowered devotee, chosen to participate in the Lord’s divine mission. It showed how Krishna engages His devotees in His work—not just to protect the world, but to glorify their devotion.
Let me hear you 😊
