Day 13: Uddhava
Uddhava was one of Krishna’s closest friends, disciples, and most intelligent devotees in Dwaraka. Deeply devoted and spiritually advanced, Uddhava served Krishna with great faith and love. Recognizing his sincerity, Krishna entrusted him with a special mission—to carry a message to the Gopis and residents of Vrindavan, who were yearning for Him.
When Uddhava arrived in Vrindavan, he was astonished by the intensity of the Gopis’ love for Krishna. Their hearts were completely surrendered; they didn’t want knowledge, blessings, or even Krishna’s presence—just remembrance of Him was enough. Witnessing such pure devotion, Uddhava realized that true bhakti was far beyond intellect or scholarship.
He returned humbled and transformed. Later, Krishna gave Uddhava the Uddhava Gita, a deep discourse on renunciation, detachment, and the highest spiritual truths—teachings meant only for those most qualified.
Krishna trusted Uddhava with this wisdom because he had both love and readiness to receive it. Their bond showed the beauty of divine friendship, where the Lord Himself becomes the teacher and uplifts His devotee to the highest level.
Let me hear you 😊
