KRISHNA JANMASHTAMI

In the Bhagavad-gita, the Supreme Lord Sri Krishna reveals Himself as the cause of all causes. (aham sarvasya prabhavo mattah sarvam pravartate, Bhagavad-gita 10.8). Arjuna, after hearing this revelation from Krishna, calls Him the Supreme Brahman, the primal God, the unborn eternal divine Person.

That same unborn eternal Lord Sri Krishna takes birth seemingly as an ordinary human being. Yet He proves that He is not ordinary by His uncommon pastimes. Then why does The Supreme Lord have to take birth?

He gives us an opportunity to know Him and attract us. He comes to give us a life-changing message in the form of the Bhagavad-gita.

This year, on the 18th and 19th of August, let us welcome Krishna and celebrate His appearance with Abhishekam, the spectacular Janmashtami celebrations of ISKCON Bangalore.
