DAY: Draupadi
After the Pandavas lost everything in the gambling match, Duryodhana commanded his brother Dushasana to bring Draupadi into the royal court. Disheveled and humiliated, she was dragged by her hair in front of the elders and nobles. As the wicked Dushasana tried to disrobe her, the court sat in shameful silence—no one dared to stop the injustice.
At first, Draupadi held onto her saree tightly with one hand and raised the other in desperate prayer. She called out to the elders, to her husbands, to dharma itself—but no help came. Then, realizing that no human could protect her, she let go and surrendered completely to Lord Krishna. With both hands raised, she cried out from the depths of her soul, “Hey Govinda! Hey Krishna! Raksha maa!”
At that very moment, Krishna responded. An endless stream of cloth began flowing from her saree. No matter how hard Dushasana pulled, the saree kept coming—longer and longer, without end. Exhausted and trembling, he finally collapsed on the floor, defeated.
The entire court sat stunned, witnessing the divine protection Krishna had granted. Draupadi’s dignity was saved—not by men, but by her absolute faith. From that day on, her surrender became a shining example of true devotion. Krishna protected her not because she asked for help, but because she fully believed He was her only shelter.
Let me hear you 😊
